FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation

Since 2011, FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation has been honored to call St. Thomas Community Presbyterian Church home, providing creative arts and recreational therapies to children, teens, and adults with disabilities in a welcoming, inclusive environment. Within our walls, FAR's credentialed therapists offer music therapy, where rhythm, songwriting, instrument play, and guided listening help build communication skills, emotional expression, cognitive growth, and social connection. FAR's art therapy program provides a safe space for individuals to explore creativity through painting, drawing, and mixed media, supporting self-confidence and self-regulation. Together, these therapies empower individuals of all ages and diagnoses to build confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and experience a true sense of belonging. FAR is place where creativity becomes connection and every individual is celebrated for who they are.
